Fair Admission:
The admission to JLF events will remain at £1 per adult for the foreseeable future.

Charging an admission fee means that opportunist, possibly light-fingered, visitors are deterred, whilst those who are trying beading/crafts for the first time and dedicated beaders and crafters have more money to spend.

JLF are constantly evolving, taking our cue from feedback, we never stop listening to exhibitors and visitors or watching our competitors.

Simplicity ... our keyword.
During 2009 - 2010 we experimented with the idea of changing the deposit value of stalls, but as from May 2010 all stalls whatever the size, can be held with a deposit of £20. Simple.

Your twenty pounds is non refundable but taken off the stall price.

However, if the full balance is not received by the due date, forty days before the event, your stall will be offered elsewhere and your deposit will be forfeit. All stalls must be paid for in full in advance.

N.B. Your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

Cheshire Bead Fair 2011
Please book early for next year’s Cheshire event on 15th May.

We have already received twenty one confirmed bookings and enough provisional bookings to fill two thirds of the available space for May next year.

September Newsletter 2010

As we enter autumn, we are entering the busy season for JL Fairs, with three events over the next three months.

The first of these is the Lakeland Bead Fair, which will be held on 10th October 2010 at the Rheged Discovery Centre, there are still spaces available at this event, with increased numbers every year, with so much on site at Rheged, the numbers attending are all avid bead buyers, many of who have left their children and partners to explore the rest of the centre, while they browse the bead stalls.

Next we will be back in Cheshire at a new venue, Reaseheath College, for our winter bead fair on 28th November 2010. This event is provisionally fully booked, pending payment.

Our Christmas Craft Fair will be held on Saturday 4th December 2010, at the Royal International Pavilion, Llangollen on the day of the town’s Christmas Festival. This event has stalls available, but we will not be accepting any more jewellery stalls at this event, pending payment.

Many thanks to all of you who attended Llangollen on 29th August; although it was not one of our best events, (not helped by the high winds!) it was a valuable experience for JL Fairs and we have drawn our own conclusions from this event and the constructive comments received, which we can put to good use for future fairs.

New Dates:
We will be adding some new dates to the diary very soon. These will include details of a relocated North Wales Bead Fair and some unusual venues in the North West and the East Midlands.

We hope to be able to confirm these dates and details before the end of the year.

We will not be holding any events in January or August, but we will have a new date for February and an event in July.

All of our events will be themed, but not all of them will feature beads. We will continue with our Christmas Craft Fair, but are reconsidering crafts at other times of the year.
